‘Inner Landscapes II: Postures of the Mind’

Geesha Elizabeth K Explores the Inner Landscapes of Human Emotion in New Delhi

Solo exhibition ‘Inner Landscapes II: Postures of the Mind’ opens at AIFACS on October 23

Contemporary artist Geesha Elizabeth K presents Inner Landscapes II: Postures of the Mind, a solo exhibition exploring the subtle emotional states that shape human experience, often beyond the reach of words. The exhibition will be inaugurated on October 23, 2026, at 4 pm at Gallery B, AIFACS, 1, Rafi Marg, New Delhi, and will be open to visitors from October 24 to 29, between 11 am and 7 pm.

The exhibition turns its attention to the quieter moments of existence holding, waiting, stillness, balance, rest, release and encounter. Rather than depicting dramatic events, the works explore the inner conditions through which individuals navigate solitude, reflection, uncertainty and connection. Through simplified figurative forms set against open fields of colour, Geesha gives visual expression to emotions that often remain unspoken.

Working primarily with acrylic on canvas, the artist combines colour, texture and deliberate simplicity to create contemplative spaces that feel both physical and psychological. Her figures often appear suspended in moments of pause, inviting viewers to consider their own memories, thoughts and emotional experiences. The exhibition continues the artist’s exploration of the invisible dimensions of everyday life, presenting stillness not as absence, but as a space for awareness and recognition.

Ge esha’s multidisciplinary background spans animation, visual effects, English literature and a Master’s degree in Graphic Design from London, bringing together technical knowledge, literary sensitivity and visual storytelling in her artistic practice.

Her exhibitions include the Affordable Art Fair, Singapore, in 2023 and 2024, The Haat of Art, Mumbai, and presentations at Aestheletic Art Gallery, Singapore. In November 2022, her work was exhibited at the National Library of Singapore. Her paintings are also held in corporate and private collections across Singapore, India, Australia and London.

Artist Statement

“My work explores the quiet emotional landscapes that exist beneath everyday life. Through simplified figurative forms placed within open colour fields, I am interested in the subtle inner states that often remain unspoken moments of pause, contemplation, uncertainty, and stillness.”

With Inner Landscapes II: Postures of the Mind, Geesha invites audiences to slow down, look inward and recognise the quiet emotional intervals in which reflection and awareness emerge.
