The dynamics of separation underlined with an inherent trauma informs Vishwa Sahni’s works that are at once dramatic and purposeful. It may be in the separation of families, lovers or the colossal migrations that the world is presently mired in, that all inspire Sahni to find rendition on canvas. On cursory viewing he appears to bring out only the pain and unhappiness that reflects these separations. However, there is a hopefulness when this artist assures us that deep in the heart and soul there is a binding that even in what seems an adverse situation. The growing fondness in the heart bearing the weight of the separation, stays faithful to the memory. The oils are very expressive as those who inhabit his canvas make their presence felt despite the haze they reside in. The haze they reside in screens them offering a sense of community binding as they huddle together in a shared condition, their existence never diminished.

The renowned institution dedicated to Art and Culture, Space Performing Arts, successfully organized a two-day Indian Contemporary Dance Festival “Abhiyas-1” on 29th and 30th August 2025 at the Civil Services Officers’ Institute (CSOI) Auditorium, Chanakyapuri, New Delhi, with the support of the Ministry of Culture, Government of India. The festival was celebrated with great enthusiasm and proved to be a resounding success.

This August, the LTG Auditorium, Mandi House, New Delhi, resonated with the vibrancy of theatre and the thunderous applause of audiences. The Summer Theatre Festival, organized by the Natsamrat Theatre Sanstha, brought forth a series of memorable productions that made audiences laugh, reflect, and even shed a tear. Every play was directed by theatre practitioner Shyam Kumar, whose creative vision and disciplined stagecraft gave each presentation a unique impact.

Kalaaakar Foundation has achieved a remarkable feat by setting a new world record for the Maximum Lord Ganesha Artworks Exhibited by Artisans. On August 29, 2025, the foundation showcased 251 creative artworks dedicated to Lord Ganesha at Lokayata Art Gallery in Delhi.

The National Art Club honored all participating artists during the festival.

Lifetime Achievement Awards were presented to Munindra Narayan Bhattacharyya and Koushik Pal for their remarkable contributions to Indian art.

The Northeast Kala Ratna Award recognized outstanding achievements in painting, watercolor, and sculpture.

The Eminent Artist’s Kala Shiromoni Samman celebrated distinguished artistic excellence.
