Through his practice of decades, Yusuf has mastered the subtle art of abstraction using his quintessential style of linear drawing, coupled with forms and colors of depth. While the visual quality of his work has remained recognizable, it has steadily shown an evolution of his mind and internal state of being.

There is a moment in Anil Rawat’s work when the line ceases to describe and begins to think.

Dr. Annapurna Shukla hails from Rajasthan. She has so far showcased her creative works in a realistic style using Acrylic colours on canvas in several solo and group art shows of State, National and International reputations all over the globe.

The Urban Traditional, an exhibition presented by Ochre Art and curated by Georgina Maddox, brings together ten contemporary artists who explore this question through practices rooted in, and informed by, India’s diverse visual and cultural traditions. Rather than treating tradition as a fixed inheritance, the exhibition considers it as something fluid—capable of shifting, adapting and acquiring new meanings as it encounters urbanisation, global circulation and contemporary ways of living.
