About Rabin Bar:
Rabin Bar, a celebrated artist from Howrah, Paschimbanga, is renowned for his unique ability to paint with both hands and feet simultaneously. Born in 1976, Rabin discovered his artistic talent early, creatively learning alphabets and numbers through drawing at the age of three. Overcoming the challenges of a modest upbringing, he found inspiration in the natural beauty of the paddy fields and riverbanks of his village, Amta.
Driven by an unwavering passion for art, Rabin developed a distinctive style that blends contemporary and semi-abstract forms with a focus on human suffering and social issues. His signature works often feature extended eyes, symbolizing emotional depth and the power of inner vision.
Rabin’s career spans over a decade of national and international acclaim. As the founder of Ellora Art and Crafts, he has authored 58 books on drawing and painting, mentored thousands of students worldwide, and guided 37 art college graduates. He is known for incorporating unconventional materials like terracotta, bronze, and fiber in his creations, and his performances, including speed painting and fire art, captivate audiences globally.
His achievements include two unique world records for ambidextrous painting, appearances on Zee TV’s SABAASH INDIA and Sony TV’s Entertainment Ke Liye Kuch Bhi Karega, and recognition in the Indian and Assamese Books of Records.
