They say, “Tough times may not last forever, but tough people surely do.” Even during challenging moments, there’s always a glimmer of hope, positivity, and a brighter perspective to consider. Particularly, when we recall the unprecedented Covid-19 outbreak in 2020, which brought the world to a halt for nearly a year, causing global businesses to suffer losses and people falling ill.

Back then, news of the sudden coronavirus outbreak shocked us all. But in hindsight, it’s like they say, “every dark cloud has a silver lining.” During those times of lockdowns and chaos, both in our personal and professional lives, artist Nayanna Kanodia managed to beautifully capture the brighter side, those joyful moments of everyday life.

In her latest exhibition titled “A Tryst with Destiny,” she presents three works that reflect these moments. “The Lockdown Homebound” portrays a husband and wife finding joy in indoor activities during their forced stay at home. In “Wooing my Lady,” the husband expresses his love by playing the piano for his wife. And “My Son, My World” illustrates a couple making cherished memories as they play with their son, strengthening family bonds.

Through these artworks, Nayanna Kanodia reminds us of the importance of human connections, love, and relationships. She encourages us to stay positive regardless of external circumstances beyond our control. It’s about finding happiness in the little joys of life, learning new skills in our free time, and cherishing moments with loved ones instead of complaining. Maintaining our mental balance and nurturing positivity from within is crucial, rather than letting negative thoughts dictate our actions.
